Fall Tryouts

CHEERLEADING REQUIREMENTS

Black Squad

The Black Squad cheers at Men's Basketball Home and Away games. The Black Squad also competes at National Competitions.

Must have Cheerleading Experience
Must have strong stunting skills (Basing and Flying)
Tumbling Skills Required( Running Tumbling, Backhandspring, Back Tuck etc.)
Strong Voices & Sharp Motions

Green Squad

The Green Squad cheers at all the Women's Basketball and Volleyball Games this team doesn't travel. If needed I will use some cheerleaders to compete with the Black Squad.

Cheerleading Experience Perferred

Strong Voices
Strong Motions

Cheerleading tryouts will be held in the JDC Center

Tryout dates: Aug 21-23

Registration begins at 5pm

Tryout clinic starts at 6pm

* Please be on time*

Attire

1st day: White T-shirt, Black shorts, athletic or cheer shoes and white ankle socks. (No biker shorts, tights or warm-up pants will not be allowed)

2nd day: The same as the first day

3rd day and Formal Tryout: CSU Paraphernalia T-shirt, Black shorts, athletic shoes or cheer shoes and white ankle socks. (No biker shorts, tights or warm-up pants will not be allowed).

CSU Cheerleaders

Cheers at home and selected away games for the Men's & Women's Baketball Teams. The cheerleaders also cheers at pep rallies and other campus events. The University does not currently offer scholarships for cheerleaders however the University does provide the uniforms and travel expenses.

All Incoming Freshman and current CSU students can join.

All incoming freshman must show proof of acceptance letter.

*The Cheerleading Application can be filled out the day of tryouts.
